We all make mistakes

We all make mistakes, and so this prayer is for a friend of a friend who has made some mistakes/bad decisions and is now suffering embarrassment and humiliation ... God be with you to give you strength

A prayer for the Williams family. A life ended so short, the mistake of a brother, all you can do is move forward. Nothing can break your strength.

A prayer for all those that I can call friend. It's not always clear who falls into this category, but God give me the clarity I need, and bless those who are truly friends .... indeed.

A prayer for my family. Lord, be a shield of protection all around them. Send miracles into our lives. May the Lord, bless and heal our hearts. Amen

Dear reader, Let your word be your bond ..... word is bond!!!!

Artist : Kirk Franklin Title : Looking For You

FOR ALL THE PEOPLE IN THE STRUGGLE, YOU THINK THAT GOD'S FORGOTTEN ABOUT YOU ... HERE'S SOME PAIN MEDICINE!!!!!!! you in your car, you at the house .. be encouraged boo

[Verse 1:]
I've been down so long, I've been hurt for so long,
There were times I thought I would never see the break of day.
It was hard for me , to see your plan for me
And I tried to believe, surely it won't last always
But night after night, (Night after night, Night after night) [I LOVE THIS PART]
I pray Lord don't take your joy from me
Then late one night (then late one night)
I read in your love letter that it's gonna get betta

[Chorus:]
Don't cha know that I've been looking for you
I realized that nothing else will satisfy me
I'm so glad I found you
Now that I'm changed no one can keep me away from you

[Verse 2:]
you brought us a mighty long way, that's why we love you
And my enemies, tried to come for me
And they thought that my world was comin' to an end
All the while you knew
That I would make it through
I feel closer to you now than when I first began

Kirk Franklin

"Why We Sing"

Someone asked the question
Why do we sing?
When we lift our hands to Jesus
What do we really mean?

Someone may be wondering
When we sing our song
At times we maybe crying.
And nothings even wrong

I sing because I'm happy
I sing because I'm free
His eye is on the sparrow
That's the reason why I sing

Glory
Hallelujah
You're the reason why I sing

Glory
Hallelujah
I give the praises to You

Glory
Hallelujah
You're the reason why I sing

And when the song is over
We've all said
Amen
In your heart just keep on singing
And the song will never end

And if somebody asks you
Was it just a show
Lift your hands and be a witness
And tell the whole world
No

And when we cross that river
To study war no more
We will sing our songs to Jesus

The one that we adore

Kirk Franklin

"Imagine Me"

Imagine me
Loving what I see when the mirror looks at me cause I
I imagine me
In a place of no insecurities
And I'm finally happy cause
I imagine me

Letting go of all of the ones who hurt me
Cause they never did deserve me
Can you imagine me?
Saying no to thoughts that try to control me
Remembering all you told me
Lord, can you imagine me?
Over what my mama said
And healed from what my daddy did
And I wanna live and not read that page again

[Chorus:]
Imagine me, being free, trusting you totally finally I can...
Imagine me
I admit it was hard to see
You being in love with someone like me
But finally I can...
Imagine me

Being strong
And not letting people break me down
You won't get that joy this time around
Can you imagine me?
In a world (in a world) where nobody has to live afraid
Because of your love fears gone away
Can you imagine me?

[Bridge:]
Letting go of my past
And glad I have another chance
And my heart will dance
'Cause I don't have to read that page again

[Chorus x2]

[Vamp:]
Gone, gone, it's gone, all gone

Old Testament

Over time, I've read most of the New Testament, and parts of the Old Testament. My goal is to read the entire Bible, word for word. I've always struggled to get through the Old, so I've made a new attempt ... this section will serve as my progress report ..... maybe you'll read with me????

  • Genesis - completed
  • Exodus - in progress

Regardless of what anybody says, the Holy Bible isn't crystal clear to me .... especially customs and language of Biblical times. I have TONS of questions. Maybe I should start a blog of Biblical questions?

Gratitude & Prayer

  • I'm thankful that my computer is still working. It's been giving me some trouble, but it's still ticking, so for that I'm thankful.
  • I'm still thankful for my health. I'm thankful that's I've been motivated enough to do aerobic workouts on a regular basis.
  • I'm thankful that I'm made PROGRESS accomplishing some of my goals this summer. Amen.
  • I'm HUGELY THANKFUL that I haven't had a full blown migraine since Oct. 2006. Hallelujah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • I send a prayer of strength and hope to all the people enduring flooding and other natural distasters right now, may the Lord bless and protect them. Amen.
  • Unfortunatly, There's always people suffering from poverty and oppression around the world, and I pray for their suffering to end. I pray that the Lord will bless and protect them. I pray that they will find strength and hope to endure. Amen.
  • I pray for an end to hate, and racism ... it's a waste of time and energy, so let it cease! Amen.

Shine Brightly

May the Long Time Sun Shine Upon You
All Love Surround You
And the Pure Light Within You
Guide Your Way On/Home .... Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee;
blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Dios te salve Maria,
llena eres de gracia;
el Señor es contigo,
bendita tu eres entre todas las mujeres
y bendito es el fruto de tu vientre Jesus.
Santa Maria Madre de Dios,
ruega por nosotros pecadores,
ahora y en la hora de nuestra muerte. AMEN.

God grant me the serenity to
accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference. AMEN.

Sistah

A prayer for my sister, whom I've never met. I don't know you, but I pray that your life is blessed. Amen.

La Llorona

"All I really want is to be at peace, find a love that's mine, it would be so sweet ... said I wanna be happy, wanna be happy, yea yea yea yeeeeah yea. Live is too short to ..." Mary J. Blige

Dear Lord, This is my prayer for marriage. Prayer for a soul mate. Prayer for a husband. Prayer for my equal that I can share my life with, grow old with, have kids with, end my lonliness with. Send him to me, my Lord. Let our souls meet, my Lord. We must be together, My Lord. Lead him to me, and I to him. Help us find our way to each other, my Lord. I've waited forever, please end my wait. Amen.

I've been alone my ENTIRE life. No one truly knows the depth of my lonliness. I just want to share my life with someone ... the RIGHT person ... for me. Please send him my way, Dear Lord. Amen.

PEACE

I PRAY FOR WORLD PEACE!!! PEACE EVERYWHERE!!!! NO WARS!!! NO HATING!!!! NO FIGHTING!!!! LET'S COME TOGETHER IN UNITY!!! I BELIEVE IN PEACE. AMEN.

Portal to Heaven

"Portal" is not a word I use often. But I know what it means ... I think ... just to be sure, I looked it up:

a door, gate, or entrance, esp. one of imposing appearance, as to a palace. (dictionary.com) ... yes, that fits perfectly

I pray that becoming more prayerful will open me up to greater blessings in my life ... like a portal to Heaven. As an added bonus, I hope that I can be a blessing to others who may read this blog. I predict that (in time) I'll get sooooo many positive uplifting comments that others will be a blessing to me. A recipricol relationship between me and the world. I get blessed, I'm open to new blessings, and I send blessings out into the world ... like good karma. A karmatic cycle of good.

Luke 11:9:
And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
(www.bible.com ... to search for specific passages)

For a Friend

UPDATE: THIS "FRIEND" IS NO LONGER A FRIEND. I GUESS I COULD ERASE THIS POST, INSTEAD I SHALL QUOTE ALICIA KEYS:
Yes I was burned but
I called it a lesson learned
Mistake overturned
So I call it a lesson learned
My soul has returned
So I call it a lesson learned
Another lesson learned

Ok, here's the first one. This prayer is dedicated to a Friend. This morning I got an email from the Friend saying that there's an emergency in the family and the Friend needed to travel back home. I replied back, offering my ear & shoulder if The Friend needed to talk about anything. I also said that I would say a prayer. Say a prayer ... say a prayer ... how do I say a prayer? What do I say?

Dear God Elohim, I pray for this Friend and this Friend's family. I pray that you will bless and protect them during this difficult time. Whatever they may be going through I pray that you will provide them the strength to endure. Amen.

I always feel like my prayer words are never eloquent, powerful, or poetic enough. I guess that's why I like to quote others ...

I appreciate the words of Marianne Williamson, from Illuminated Prayers:

Let miracles replace the pain in all of us.

Lay Your hands on all our eyes, that we might see at last. Amen.

Healthy Habit

I already have other blogs I've started. I've been thinking of starting a blog dedicated to prayers. Why? I don't think I pray enough. It doesn't always come naturally to me. I'm embarrassed to say that sometimes it's a struggle. A struggle to find the right words. A struggle to truly feel a deep spiritual connection .... fully ... completely. Sometimes life is just so frustrating that you honestly feel ... "what good will it do" or "nothing ever changes." I'm not proud of these feelings, in fact, I'm embarrassed. But I know I'm not alone in how I feel. I know that I'm trying ... to develop a stronger connection with God. And here is just another try.

Why a blog? Why not.

Maybe you'll pray with me ....... I hope so. Feel free to leave comments, I could use the support and encouragement. Keep in mind that any atheist/infidel-type comments will probably be deleted.
